The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and Tech4Dev have announced the commencement of applications for the DigitalforAll Challenge 2.0, aimed at fostering digital literacy and skills development in Nigeria.
Aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda, the DigitalforAll Challenge seeks to cultivate a critical mass of digital skills that will drive diversification through innovation and digitization. This free competition aims to ignite interest in acquiring digital skills and certifications using online platforms.
The program features three distinct categories: Young Learners (Ages 12-18), Youth Category (Ages 19-45), and Civil Servants, with cash prizes awarded to winners and runners-up in each category.
According to the program’s website, winners from each category will receive substantial cash rewards, with additional benefits for participants in the Intermediate Youth Category.
The prizes aim to incentivize self-development and encourage the acquisition and utilization of digital skills.
Eligibility criteria vary for each category, with requirements including completion of training, receipt of certificates, and registration on the platform.
Young learners must be students in primary or secondary schools and pass basic digital literacy assessments, while youth applicants must complete training programs.
The DigitalforAll program, recently launched in Abuja, underscores the collaborative efforts of Tech4Dev, NITDA, and the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.
