Stakeholders To Discuss Infrastructure Financing For Sustainable Economic Devt

Stakeholders in the financial service industry are expected to converge at the 2022 national workshop of the Association of Business Editors in Nigeria(ABEN) to discuss  ‘Infrastructure financing as pathway to sustainable economic development.’

Infrastructure gap in the country, according to experts, runs into several trillions of naira, hence, the need to centre discussion on how to fund infrastructure in a bid to create a conducive operating business environment as well as better social life for the people.

The workshop, which is coming up on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, in Ikeja, Lagos, is being hosted in partnership with Nigeria’s leading corporate organisations, including Dangote Group, Nigeria Sovereign Wealth Investment Authority and Sundry Foods Limited, among others.

To be chaired by the immediate past managing director of the Bank of Industry(BoI), Chief Waheed Olagunju, the workshop will also feature presentations from Zenith Bank, Access Bank,, First Bank, United Bank for Africa(UBA), among others.

Lagos State commissioner for economic development & budget, Mr Sam Egube, is expected to give a keynote speech at the event, while Amanze Okere is expected to represent the director general of Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission, (ICRC), Dr Michael Ohiani.
