The newly-elected president of Chartered Institute of Transportation and Administration, Mr Segun Obayendo, has pledged to implement  a ten -year strategic plan, including collaboration of transport modes and recognition of the Institute’s Certificate.

The plan, according to a statement signed by Obayendo who dubs as MD/CEO of Lagos Computerised Vehicle Inspection Center (LACVIS), after a keenly contested election held in Abuja last weekend, is contained in his manifesto and is in line with promotion of global best practice.

He also described the manifesto as a compendium of all  issues raised with stakeholders during his consultations with them, adding that, it was a product of empirical and evidence based approach that is all inclusive to ensure all modes of transportation were fully catered for.

Obayendo reiterated determination to face challenges in the sector from aviation to rail, maritime to road and pipelines

“We are exited to face this mode unified to demonstrate that CIOTA has come of age and we will continue to advocate for increased collaboration,”he declared.
