Federal government has conferred the MD/ CEO eTranzact Nigeria Plc, Mr. Niyi Toluwalope with the National Productivity Order of Merit (NPOM) Award in recognition of his outstanding work in the FinTech space and his commitment to developing the next generation of Fintech talents for National Development.
This year the NPOM award recognised 48 individuals for their high productivity, hard work and excellence. It was indeed a rare honour for Mr. Niyi Toluwalope, as his work over the years to transform eTranzact into a leading brand within the FinTech space was being recognised from the highest office of the land.
Since taking over the helms of affairs of eTranzact in 2018, Mr. Toluwalope had turn around the profits of the Fintech giant, building shareholder value and delivering on its mandate to drive innovation and financial inclusion. In the past 5years Mr. Toluwalope has led the company to achieve its highest profitability ever, supervised eTranzact capital raise of over N10 billion via rights issue on the NGX, and under his leadership, eTranzact was recognised as a pioneer partner for the CBN-driven cashless initiative through SANEF.
He has received numerous awards for his drive and transformative leadership. Recently he was awarded the Top 25 CEO Award for his transformative work by NGEX and Business Day newspapers. Mr. Toluwalope is unrelentless in delivering superior value to all stakeholders and living up to eTranzact’s promise as the Super Fintech of Choice in Nigeria.
The NPOM Award is a prestigious recognition that celebrates individuals, who have made significant contributions to productivity, innovation, and national development. Mr. Niyi Toluwalope received this award from the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment to appreciate his immense contribution towards national development and nationhood.
Other awardees in various categories this year include Stella Adadevoh, (who received a posthumous award), Allen Onyema, Chief Mike Adenuga, Jim Ovia and many other dignitaries and organisations in both the Public and Private sectors were awarded.
