Germany has implemented the second part of its new skilled worker law, introducing significant changes such as allowing international students with student visas to work for 9 months prior to beginning their studies.
This new regulation aims to attract skilled workers from diverse industries, aligning with Germany’s efforts to transition to renewable energy and create green jobs for foreign talent. The recent enactment of this second segment of the revamped skilled worker law follows the initial implementation in November 2023.
By relaxing regulations surrounding international student visas, the German government seeks to enhance its appeal to skilled workers, offering them opportunities to gain valuable work experience before pursuing their studies. This move reflects Germany’s commitment to fostering innovation and welcoming talent from around the world.
