The chief executive officer of EKEDC (Eko Electricity Distribution Company), Mrs Rekhiat Momoh, has concluded a comprehensive tour of the company’s six districts across Lagos State.

The tour covered Lekki, Ibeju, Ijora, Festac, Ojo, Ajah, and Agbara. According to the company, the primary objective of this extensive visitation was to foster closer connections with EKEDC’s dedicated staff members, reinforcing their pivotal role in serving the community.

During her engagements, Mrs. Momoh took the opportunity to engage directly with employees, emphasizing the significance of their commitment to customer service.

She underscored the importance of understanding the successes achieved within each district and the areas where improvement is necessary. This dialogue aimed to empower staff members with a renewed sense of purpose and direction in serving the company’s diverse customer base. In her address to employees, Mrs. Momoh outlined EKEDC’s strategic vision for growth, articulating a clear path toward becoming the premier electricity distribution company in Nigeria and a beacon of excellence in the industry.

She reiterated the company’s unwavering commitment to delivering reliable and efficient electricity services while embracing innovation to meet evolving consumer needs. Mrs. Momoh also emphasized the critical need for each district to enhance its handling of downtimes to improve its ATC&C (Average Technical and Commercial Collection) score. She referenced the recent historic record in the ATC&C, which was reduced to 10.51% in March 2024 from 30.87% recorded in the previous month of February. The firm said this significant improvement, reported in March when Mrs. Momoh joined, serves as a demonstration of her commitment to improving services across the board.

Reflecting on the tour, Mrs. Rekhiat Momoh remarked, “Our journey towards becoming a leading electricity distribution company in Nigeria and Africa is anchored on our collective dedication to service excellence, growth, and operational efficiency. As we navigate the challenges ahead, let us remain steadfast in our commitment to delivering value to our customers and communities.”

The firm also states that, “The district tour demonstrates EKEDC’s proactive approach to engaging with its workforce and stakeholders, fostering a culture of transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement. As the company charts its course toward greater heights, it does so with a firm belief in the potential of its people and the importance of fostering meaningful relationships at every level.”
