The hospitality landscape of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, has been boosted with the commissioning of an ultra-modern hotel and suites, Trend’s Place Hotel In Abuja by the governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri.
Speaking at the commissioning, Governor Diri, while appreciating the contribution of the owners of the hotel and suites to Nigeria’s hospitality industry, stated that the nation needs more efforts by its citizens and investors around the world to boost its economy.
The hotel, according to the owners, provides accommodation with luxurious rooms and state-of-the-art facilities, exquisite dining options, gym, swimming pool, lounge bar, conference and event halls, and serene ambiance.
The governor also commended the meticulously designed hotel which the owners said provides an unforgettable stay while ensuring guest safety and privacy.
In his speech, chairman, of Trend’s Place Hotel and Suites, Brig Gen Eric Angaye (Rtd) said he decided to expand into Abuja because of his commitment to contributing to its growth and development while offering world-class accommodations and services to travelers from around the globe.
He said, “Abuja, known for its vibrant culture, dynamic economy, and warm hospitality, has always held a special place in our hearts. At Trend’s Place Hotel and Suites, we believe hospitality is an art. Our goal has always been to provide an unparalleled experience, where every detail is thoughtfully crafted to render quality service while exceeding expectations. Our team is dedicated to ensuring that every guest experiences the epitome of comfort, elegance, and personalized service.

According to Brig Gen Angaye (Rtd), his foray into the hospitality business is a tale of passion turned profession, haven drawn from his love for travel, entertainment, and hospitality and motivated by a desire to transform his hobby into a thriving enterprise.
He said this marks his first venture into the hospitality industry but that his wife has been involved in catering, an integral part of the hospitality sector. “I had to delve into this,” he explained, “She runs this place. I only come in to supervise and check how things are going because I have a very tight schedule.”
When asked about what patrons can expect, he confidently assured, “Great hospitality, everything is here. There are great rooms and great views.” This commitment to quality is evident in every aspect of the establishment.
He said, “The business boasts a robust team of about 60 staff members, including dedicated security personnel. “We have police security in the evenings and over 50 CCTV cameras,” he noted, emphasizing the importance of safety and security for guests. We have delicious food, tastily finished food, you will love it. On Saturdays, we have a live band. On Thursday evenings, we have old-school night, and on Wednesday we have karaoke. Only Mondays and Tuesdays are without activities, but there’s always music playing on the premises,” he detailed.
