Tinubu Says Tax-to-GDP Rises To 13.5%, Debt Burden Halved

The Tin-Can Island Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced the readiness of its Unified Customs Management System (UCMS), nicknamed the B’Odogwu system, to enhance trade facilitation at the port. Comptroller Frank Onyeka assured stakeholders during World Customs Day celebrations that the system, now past its pilot phase, will streamline cargo clearance, reduce delays, and boost transparency through advanced technologies like blockchain and AI.
Stakeholders praised the command’s commitment to innovation and collaboration, noting its impact on improving Nigeria’s ease-of-doing-business rankings and economic competitiveness.
