An unnamed facility manager at the moribund Aba Textile Mills Plc located at Aba in Abia State, alongside two other workers, have been arrested for allegedly stealing and vandalising properties at the facility.

The Abia State government had recently announced plans to reactivate the company along with Star Paper Mill Limited in the commercial town.

Commissioner for Information in the state, Okey Kanu, stated this while briefing Journalists on the outcome of this week’s State Executive Council meeting chaired by Governor Alex Otti in Umuahia, the capital.

“The government warns unscrupulous persons whose stock in trade is to steal and vandalise its property to desist from such criminal tendencies or be ready to face the wrath of the law,” Kanu said.

Meanwhile, the state Chief Judge, Justice Lillian Abai has announced a one-week Easter vacation for judges of the state judiciary.
