Principal,Senior Prefect School For Blind Laud Commission For Donations

The principal, and senior prefect, School for Blind, Afaraukwu, Umuahia have lauded the Abia State Oil Producing Development Commission for donating food items, toiletries, and money to the school.

The duo, Benedict Onyeozari and Christian Agu expressed their appreciation to the commission for the gesture, yesterday, while speaking to NATIONAL ECONOMY at the school in the state capital.

Explaining that the donations would go along way to impact positively on the lives of the students, they extended their gratitude to the state governor, Alex Otti for repositioning the school.

The general manager of the commission, Joshua Onyeike had while delivering the donations said the gesture is part of the commission’s social responsibilities to the people.

Represented by the director of social welfare in the commission, Amarachi Isaac-Uzorchukwu, he assured that the commission will continue to assist the school to deliver its mandate.

The general manager also recalled that the commission had maintained a long standing partnership with the school and assured that it would be sustained.

Noting that the gesture will complement the effects of the governor to alleviate the sufferings of the people, he urged the students not to allow their challenges to affect their ambitions .
