Nigeria’s National Single Window (NSW) project has advanced to the critical development and integration phase, officials announced Tuesday.

The NSW, launched in April 2024, is designed to unify all import and export agencies under a centralised electronic portal to streamline trade processes and improve competitiveness.

Tola Fakolade, NSW Director and Secretariat Head, told stakeholders at the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) headquarters in Abuja that the project had completed nearly a year of assessments and requirement analyses. “Achieving seamless integration at this stage is essential for meeting the Q1 2026 operational target,” he said.

NCS Comptroller-General Bashir Adeniyi , called for stakeholder alignment to ensure successful rollout, saying the initiative is a priority for President Bola Tinubu’s administration. “We are here to exchange ideas and prepare for the National Single Window,” he said.

Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) chairman Zacch Adedeji, pledged full support to meet the March 2026 launch deadline, stressing the need for inter-agency collaboration.
