The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has earned four industry recognitions in 2026 for its efforts to protect consumers, promote fair competition and improve market regulation.
The recognitions include NaijaTimes’ Institutional Integrity and Public Service Award, a nomination for Daily Independent Newspaper’s Regulator of the Year 2026, a shortlist for the Women Enterprise Alliance’s Regulatory Body of the Year Award under the Aisha Babangida Foundation, and BrandXchange’s Citizen-Centric MDA of the Year award in the federal category.
NaijaTimes presented its award to FCCPC Chief Executive Officer, Tunji Bello, at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja on Thursday.
The newspaper’s Publisher and Editor-in-Chief, Ehi Braimah, said the recognition reflected the commission’s efforts to promote consumer welfare, competitive markets and responsible business practices.
Bello thanked the organisation, saying the commission remained committed to protecting consumers and ensuring fairness in the marketplace.
