Bauchi Rep Commiserates With Victims of Ragwam Attack

A member Representing Katagum Federal Constituency in Bauchi State, Umar Abdulkadir Sarki, has commiserated with victims of Ragwam-Magwanshi ward of Katagum local government area over a recent attack by unknown gunmen that left one dead and scores injured.

A statement issued by Salahuddin Yakubu on behalf of the lawmaker described as “barbaric and a devastating tragedy not only for families and friends of the victims, but also for Katagum as a Constituency and Bauchi State as a whole.’’

“As the families of the unfortunate victims mourn, I will like to use this medium to extend my heartfelt condolences and sympathies to them at this very difficult and trying moment, and pray that Allah comfort and give them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss”,  Honorable Sarki, was quoted as saying.

Sarki also commiserated with the District head of Ragwam, Emir of Katagum and  Bauchi state government, urging them not to relent in prayers for the souls of the departed and their families.

He said his foundation FARAR TAFIYA FOUNDATION will foot the medical bills of the five victims admitted at Federal Medical Centre, Azare in order to cushion the effect of the attacks on the constituents.

Sarki also pledged to liaise with security agents to fish out the culprits and bring them to the book.

The attack which took place on Sunday by unknown gunmen suspected to be robbers left five persons with various degrees of injuries.

They are currently admitted to Federal Medical Center Azare.
