The Customs Area Controller of Apapa Command, Comptroller Emmanuel Oshoba, has charged newly promoted officers of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) to redouble efforts in revenue generation and compliance enforcement.

Oshoba gave the charge on Thursday in Lagos while decorating the officers recently elevated by the NCS management.

Describing the exercise as a reward for excellence, innovation, and dedication, he said the Service expects higher commitment to revenue generation, trade facilitation, and asset management.

“Your promotion is a call to improve performance and justify management’s confidence in you,” Oshoba said, urging the officers to uphold professionalism and diligence in line with national economic and security goals.

He commended the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, and the management team for entrenching merit-based promotions, while encouraging officers yet to be promoted to remain steadfast.
