The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company said it has concluded plans to organise an on-the-spot complaint resolution for electricity consumers.
The exercise, which will start with electricity consumers in Abakaliki and Afikpo Districts of Ebonyi, is part of the company’s initiatives to resolve consumers’ billing-related concerns.
The group head, Corporate Communications of the company, Mr Emeka Ezeh, disclosed this to newsmen in Enugu.
Ezeh said the exercise would enhance electricity customers’ experience.
He said that the three days event would be held at three different locations from Tuesday, July 22 to Thursday, July 24 between 10a.m. and 2p.m. in Ebonyi.
He encouraged customers with issues regarding their electricity bills to take advantage of the opportunity to get them resolved.
According to him, day one of the exercise – Tuesday, July 22, will take off by 10a.m. at EEDC old office (beside the Ebonyi Ministry of Finance), Abakaliki.
“Day two of the exercise – Wednesday, July 23 , will hold by 10a.m. at the EEDC GRA Service Center (opposite Democracy Estate), Abakaliki.
“Day three – Thursday, July 24, will take place by 10a.m. at the EEDC Afikpo Service Center, Amachi Road, Afikpo.
“Customers are required to come along with their recent electricity bills, receipts or proof of payments, and any other supporting documents or correspondence related to their complaints.
“The on-the-spot complaint resolution is strictly focused on billing issues, and we advise customers with other concerns to visit the Customer Service Units at the District Offices and Service Centers for appropriate action,” Ezeh said.
