Comforts Fashion House has just announced a new collection, which is called the Electra-Fusion Collection. The Electra-Fusion collection is a collection of gowns for the evenings outside. It includes short and long but fitted gowns for the ladies who need something beautiful, simple, and comfortable enough for the nights out with the girls. Basically, it is a girls’ night collection that every girl should have or even gift their girlfriends.
The co-founders of the brand, Aishida Oluwambe Oladugba, and Ayomitunde Peter Adegoke, combined their skills as a garment constructor and fashion illustrator, respectively, to make gowns that the ladies would love to have for their Girls’ nights out. The inspirations behind these were due to the fact that many people often settle for basic fashion wear like jeans and shirts for comfort and simplicity when they would have loved to wear a gown and dress down for the night out. Ayomitunde designed dresses that were simple yet very functional and had a touch of elegance. From the result of the pieces of the collection, which were neatly tailored by Aishida, who followed through to the T-specific details infused in the illustration process by Ayomitunde, one can see that the designers combined their skills to make sure that the diverse “Electra-Fusion Collection” was so diverse and represented the style sense of various women. With dresses made in different sizes and lengths, they were intentional about promoting the Nigerian fashion heritage that adorns women’s bodies without showing too much skin.
The Electra-Fusion Collection is made of fabrics like Tulle, Cotton, Satin, and Embroidered Lace. These fabrics are combined in such a way that they are primarily for comfort and then for beauty. One of the dresses is a short gown that is designed to look like a two-piece. The upper part has long sleeves that are made out of embroidered Lace with a square neckline that has a bit of a V-shaped plunge in the front and the back, while the waistline is almost absent, and the lower part of the gown is A-shaped. Another gown in this collection is a long gown that has a bateau neckline with a small puffed sleeve. This gown is such that the bustline is quite firm with the sides of the stomach open, while the waistline is a natural waistline that flows downwards in a flowy show that cascades to the floor, thus needing to be held to avoid tripping.
Ayomitunde explained that Aishida was able to translate his illustrative skills in such a way that some of the gowns that required frills, bows, and other accessories were well-crafted to properly translate to what is now seen in the finished works. Ayomitunde’s Design skills were evident in the ways the gowns are designed for multi-functionality in that they can be paired with jackets for effects or to make them a bit more acceptable in other settings. Hence, the collection is an important fashion piece for ladies who want something that can work in various capacities.
