North East Forum Lauds Bello Mattawalle’s Efforts to Combat Insecurity

The North East Forum has commended Dr. Bello Mattawalle, Minister of Defence for State, for his unwavering commitment to addressing insecurity in the region.

In a statement signed in maiduguri on Monday by its spokesperson, Bukar Babagana said since taking office, Mattawalle has been actively engaging military leadership under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, focusing on restoring peace and creating an environment conducive to investment.

“We stand firmly behind Dr. Bello Mattawalle, acknowledging his tireless efforts to combat insecurity and promote stability within the region.”

According to him,In a recent visit to Borno State, Mattawalle demonstrated his dedication by taking decisive actions aimed at making insecurity a thing of the past.

The forum highlighted that this engagement marks a significant shift in the region, transforming areas that were once hotspots of violence into potential investment hubs.

“The impact of Minister Mattawalle’s leadership is evident,” stated a forum representative, noting significant reductions in the activities of bandits and Boko Haram militants. The ongoing efforts have led to an improved security landscape, encouraging businesses to consider the region as a viable option for investment.

The North East Forum expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for recognizing Mattawalle’s capabilities and including him in his administration. This partnership has been crucial in addressing the security challenges that have long plagued the region.

Reflecting on his previous tenure as Governor of Zamfara State, it is clear that Mattawalle’s proactive security measures have laid a strong foundation for his current initiatives. His past experience is seen as a valuable asset in the ongoing fight against insecurity.
