The renowned Kaduna Polo Club is gearing up for the highly anticipated 2025 Kaduna International Polo Tournament, which will take place from October 18 to 26 at the club’s grounds in Murtala Mohammed Square, Kaduna.
This prestigious tournament, proudly sponsored by First Bank of Nigeria in collaboration with the Nigerian Polo Association (NPA), marks a continuation of a long-standing partnership that has supported the event for decades. Notably, the Kaduna International Polo Tournament recently celebrated a century of polo excellence.
In the lead-up to the tournament, the club will host its traditional Cheque Presentation Night on Friday, October 17 at the Kaduna Polo Clubhouse. The social gathering will serve as the official opening event for the tournament and provide a networking opportunity for sponsors, players, and polo enthusiasts alike.
In a joint statement signed by Muhammad Babangida, President of the Kaduna Polo Club, and Atiku Abubakar Saleh, tournament manager, the club expressed gratitude to its sponsors while inviting guests to partake in the celebrations marking a century of polo tradition.
The Kaduna International Polo Tournament remains a key highlight on Africa’s sporting calendar, drawing top players and dignitaries from across the nation and beyond. His Royal Highness Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, the Emir of Katsina and the grand patron of Nigerian Polo Association (NPA), has played a pivotal role in the success of the tournament over the years.
