Bolaji Akinola is a maritime expert, journalist, and social commentator. He is the spokesperson of the Seaport Terminal Operators Association of Nigeria and the Chief Executive Officer of Ships and Ports Communication Company.
Akinola holds an MBA from Lagos Business School (LBS). He is a member of the governing council of LBS Alumni Association and president of Executive MBA 15 Alumni Class of the School.
A graduate of the University of Agriculture Abeokuta (UNAAB), Akinola also holds a Masters of Transport Management degree from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) and a Post-Graduate Diploma in journalism from Times Journalism Institute, Lagos.
Akinola’s company, Ships & Ports Communication Company is a full-fledge communication firm, specialising in public relations and media services in the shipping sector. The company prides itself as Nigeria’s foremost maritime communication firm, providing unique and topnotch professional media services to the industry and public relations services to select clients.
Ships & Ports Communication Company media services, according to Akinola, was set up to provide extensive mileage for an array of clients and serve as window of the Nigerian maritime industry to the outside world which include a daily radio programme – broadcast Monday to Friday at 9.15am on Radio One FM 103.5 (Radio Nigeria), Lagos; a free daily newspaper and online news. Akinola is also an author of books. His first book is titled: Arrested Development and another one titled: Authority Stealing.
