Adire is a beautiful, creative type of fabric which can be sewn into various designs and styles for all genders. In Nigeria, its history is as rich as the various types of adire and the efforts required to make them. Adire is one old fabric type that can be used to create really beautiful, chic and classic designs. Fashion By Mobez have been taking lots of initiative on this and we can not help but commend their uniqueness and creativity with adire fabric.

Fashion By Mobez was established in 2017 and is owned by two siblings, Oyinlola Oluwabusayomi Akinseloyin and Ayobami Oluwaferanmi Akinseloyin who are both into creating innovative and trendsetting designs that capture the attention of consumers. So far, they have been able to establish a unique brand identity and aesthetic that sets them apart in the industry while also building a loyal customer base through high-quality, desirable products for both Men and Women all across the world. Oyinlola is the Creative Director and Head of Design while her brother, Ayobami is the Stylist. The duo has been able to work together to create exceptionally creative styles that are sold as individual pieces, collections or even as part of collaborative works with other fashion houses. Oyinlola credits her brand’s growth to her brother’s encouragement from when he first noticed that she was quite enamoured by the Adire Fabric which their grandarents had sent to them as teenagers for his birthday. Ayobami has always had a thing for styling people hence his grandparents’ decision to gift him the fabric which he picked out the design for.

The Adire fabric is made from cotton which is comfortable and hypoallergenic, Adire itself is colorful and quite suited for both foreign, vintage or even modern styles. Cotton is suitable for various weathers and thus adire fabric is most accommodating for the various seasons in Nigeria. Fashion by Mobez uses this to make various styles as visualized by Ayobami, the stylist and created by Oyinlola. Fashion enthusiasts and other buyers have often commended the siblings on what can be perceived as innovative.

Adire

One of such collection was The Adun Ewa collection which the siblings released to celebrate the various colors that Adire can be found in. They explained that usually lots of people are more familiar with the Indigo color as it is more common but with the advent of cloth technology and rise of industrial dyes, more colors are now being introduced to the dyeing industry. The Adun Ewa collection has dresses, shorts and even some other fabric-infused accessories for both men and women. These clothes come in various colors such as orange, purple, green, black, blue, grey and so many other colors. These were however made on-demand hence the team stopped production at some point yet the demand was said to be quite high.

It is said that variety is the spice of life and Fashion by Mobez have been able to show that even with Adire being their main fabric type, a lot of design styles can still be made. We Enjoyed seeing the beautiful pieces they have made so far and we look forward to sharing more of their works with you as soon as they release more collections.
