The federal government has approved uniform selling prices for housing units under its Renewed Hope Estate Programme across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, as part of its drive to make homeownership more accessible, transparent, and equitable for Nigerians.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Thursday, October 23, 2025, by the director of press and public relations, Badamasi Haiba, at the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.
According to the statement, the new pricing structure pegs the cost of a one-bedroom semi-detached bungalow at ₦8.5 million, a two-bedroom unit at ₦11.5 million, and a three-bedroom unit at ₦12.5 million.
Haiba said the adoption of uniform pricing across the federation was aimed at eliminating regional disparities and ensuring that all Nigerians, regardless of location, can benefit equally from the Renewed Hope Housing Programme.
“The approved selling prices are: One-bedroom semi-detached bungalow, ₦8.5 million; two-bedroom semi-detached bungalow, ₦11.5 million; and three-bedroom semi-detached bungalow, ₦12.5 million,” Haiba stated.
“The adoption of uniform selling prices aims to promote affordability, transparency, and fairness, ensuring that Nigerians across all regions have equal opportunities to benefit from the Renewed Hope Housing Programme,” he added.
The minister of housing and urban development, Ahmed Dangiwa, explained that the programme prioritises low- and middle-income earners, civil servants at all levels of government, employees in the organised private sector, and Nigerians in the diaspora seeking to own homes in the country.
The ministry also disclosed that several flexible payment options have been provided to make the houses affordable. These include outright purchase, mortgage, rent-to-own, and installment payment plans, according to the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Shuaib Belgore.
“We have designed a framework that accommodates various income levels,” he added.
