The Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), Mamma Ahmadu, FNIQS, has urged the participants of the 2023 Continuous Procurement Capacity Development Training Programme (CPCDTP) to ensure integrity and transparency in their procurement dealings at all times.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Deputy Director of Information/Head of Media at BPP, Janet McDickson. The DG made this statement before the commencement of their mandatory examination after the three-week strategic capacity training.

Ahmadu, who was represented at the training by the Director of Legal in the Bureau, Mr. Olusegun Omotola, commended the zeal exhibited during the three-week capacity training and urged them not to hold back their knowledge but rather, impact positively on their different organizations to enable them to achieve better results in the procurement process and improve the economy. He also urged them to use and comply with the exam guidelines document given to them.

Earlier, the Director of Research Training and Strategic Planning in the Bureau, Mr. Adebowale Adedokun, warned the participants against any improper behavior or any action inimical to the exam guidelines, pointing out that they should apply what was taught to them during their training.

Secondly, to test their understanding of the procurement process, and thirdly, to formally absorb them into the procurement cadre.”
