The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) of Nigeria, under the leadership of Dr. Rabiu Olowo, is poised to unveil a code of conduct for the public sector and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the first quarter of 2024. The move aligns with the council’s commitment to enhancing efficiency in corporate reports and governance.

Olowo emphasized the need for proper guidance on governance codes for the public sector and NGOs, recognizing their critical role in economic growth. He stated that the new code would be robust, independent, and comparable to global standards, with a focus on accountability
