LOGNETICS has grown overtime and we hope that the company can become one of the top 10 leading technological brands in Africa. Can you share the journey so far in building LOGNETICS?
Well, LOGNETICS as it is today wasn’t grown overnight. In fact, it has seen a lot of transitions which were quite necessary but then, the whole idea of LOGNETICS began with a simple passion of learning different skill sets, primarily branding and designing. This is because I believe that every skill you acquire doubles your odds of success.
So, I was able to learn and master quite a lot throughout the process of learning. I freelanced and gained quite a number of clients who were satisfied and convinced of my skills and abilities.
However, rather than remain at just freelancing, I moved the idea further by deciding to set up a design agency which later became a branding agency and subsequently transited into the tech space which is where we are now.
Seeing these transitions happen in a space of 3years is mind blowing, has it always been your desire to start a company?
I believe in the ideology that everyone can have ideas but the difference between these ideas is in the execution. This is because if the value of an idea must be appreciated, it must be put into effective use. Personally, the desire to build or start a company didn’t surface from the beginning. But when the need came up, I intentionally decided to stop predicting the future, instead, consciously and deliberately build it. Thus, I kick-started it with my skills and created an environment where my ideas and that of others can connect. This ideology birthed LOGNETICS as a company.
While building all of these and innovative ideas, have you encountered challenges or doubts that threaten to pull you down and how were you able to push past them?
Well, it will be surprising if there weren’t any doubts along the way. But then, growth occurs when individuals confront problems, struggle to master them and through that struggle, develop new aspects of their skills, capacities and views about life. Most successful big companies that exist today encountered lots of challenges before they got to the top. These challenges are what define the beauty of their success stories and for us at LOGNETICS, it’s the same.
Nevertheless, I would say the biggest doubts and challenge I faced was financing. This is because I have the motivation, enthusiasm, will power, ideas and a great team. But money was a big limitation and sometimes it still is. Majority of what is made over the years as profit is injected back into the company, I mean how else would we grow anyway?
There has been no external source of funding, it’s been in-house from the beginning. The only time I tried a loan, it didn’t go smoothly, so never again. But for whatever reason, whether it’s finance or not, whatever works out for the moment, I’m willing to do it. It may be shocking to state that even as a CEO, I have companies that work with me personally, and others I freelance for. So basically, I just make out plans and goals, I don’t allow financing or other challenges discourage me and then I push through with it, whether it works out or not, I like to try.
How do you come up with your innovative and strategic ideas and what prospect does LOGNETICS hold for the future?
My job as an entrepreneur is to disrupt. That’s what I do. I look for opportunities to disintermediate and create value. So, I get inspiration when I communicate with people randomly. I also get a ‘spark’ during my free time, and most of the time, when I see a problem, I think to myself ‘I can actually solve this’ so all of my ideas just draw me into a space of critical thinking.
And for the innovative and strategic structures, visibility, content and more. Well, I will simply say that’s our unique selling proposition because at LOGNETICS, we are the perfect blend of creativity and innovation. So, this is just a part of our identity subconsciously showing off.
How about the prospect for the future?
We are not building for the now alone and so, the future is in fact, a crucial aspect for us. We hold a lot of prospects for the future. However, rather than wait for the future to come upon us, we are instead creating the future we desire now!
Thus, we are building a branded future that’s seamless, ranging from groundbreaking innovations that transcend the physical realities, to an unrelenting drive to create a disruptive system that will revolutionize approaches to technological and branding problems, while employing state of the art technological frame work to create attention-grabbing and functional strategies that drive business growth and unchallenged reputation.
What are the final words to other startups?
Use what you have, start where you can, build men, value relationships, share the vision and collectively build. It may be hard but it will definitely be worth every sweat.
