Iwobi Happy To Extend Stay At Everton

Super Eagles of Nigeria mercurial midfielder, Victor Iwobi, has expressed delight in the attempt made by the manager of Everton FC of England at keeping him in the club for another four years.

Iwobi said in England at the weekend that, since he started playing professional football, he is playing his best football at Everton FC at the moment. And he will most delighted if his contract is extended in the club.

Everton coach Frank Lampard has confirmed that Everton FC are close to cementing a contract extension in with the former Arsenal FC midfielder, Alex Iwobi concerning.

Iwobi has been a top performer for Everton since last season. The 26-year-old Nigerian midfielder was important in the Toffees’ Premier League survival last season.

This season, despite playing in a new midfield role, Iwobi has been massive for the Merseysiders, having a hand in four of their eight Premier goals.

His performances have drawn praise from former Nigeria international Jay-Jay Okocha, and even manager Frank Lampard.

Everton recognise the impact of the former Arsenal man, and gaffer Lampard has  confirmed that the club wants to extend Iwobi’s contract.

Guerrero, DJ CK feels Eric Ten Haag is the man for the job as he’s made some big decisions with Harry Maguire and Cristiano Ronaldo, and the new signings at Manchester United.

“Yes, I know that Thelwell’s speaking with Alex’s people on that front,” Lampard told Richard Buxton, as per Fabrizio Romano.

“We will see how that one develops.”

Iwobi’s contract is set to expire at the end of next season. But with what the Super Eagles midfielder has shown in recent months, Everton would do everything possible to tie their man down for a few more years.
