Karim Assumes Role Of Chairman On BAT Nigeria Advisory Board

British American Tobacco Nigeria (BAT Nigeria) has made a strategic move in appointing Kola Karim as the Chairman of its Advisory Board, effective November 1. This pivotal announcement, communicated by Yarub Al Bahrani, Managing Director of BAT West and Central Africa, marks a significant development for the company’s leadership and strategic direction.

Kola Karim, presently serving as the Managing Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors at Shoreline Energy International, brings to BAT Nigeria over two decades of distinguished career experience. His new role as the Advisory Board Chairman positions him to provide invaluable strategic guidance and oversight, leveraging his extensive leadership background and industry insights to fortify BAT Nigeria’s position in the dynamic market landscape.

Al Bahrani underscored the importance of Karim’s appointment, highlighting his successful track record at Shoreline Energy International. Noting Karim’s proficiency in navigating complex challenges and steering sustainable growth, Al Bahrani expressed confidence that Karim’s leadership would contribute significantly to BAT’s ongoing success. He emphasized the expectation for Karim to uphold the highest standards of corporate governance, aligning with BAT’s overarching purpose of A Better Tomorrowâ„¢.

In response to his appointment, Kola Karim expressed delight and readiness to take on the role of Chairman on the BAT Advisory Board.
