LBH Market: Empowering Small Nigerian Businesses

LBH Market is a fast-growing online marketplace for small Nigerian businesses. Launched earlier this year by two former oil and gas employees, Chuka Nwosu and Kingsley Anyabuike, the platform has already listed over 400 products from a variety of sellers.

Unlike traditional ecommerce applications, LBH Market processes and delivers sales through the sellers themselves, though the team behind the platform say they have plans to integrate payment and third-party deliveries in the near future.

The founders of LBH Market identified a gap in the market for a platform that empowers small businesses in Nigeria to sell their products online. “Small businesses in Nigeria face significant challenges when it comes to reaching a wider audience and selling their products online,” explains Kingsley. “We wanted to create a platform that could level the playing field and provide these businesses with the tools they need to succeed.”
One of the key features of LBH Market is its ease of use. Sellers can sign up for free and create their own online store within minutes, listing their products and managing their own inventory. The platform also offers a variety of tools to help sellers market their products, including social media integrations and email campaigns.

Sellers have praised LBH Market for its low barrier to entry and commitment to empowering small businesses. Bisi Adeyemi, owner of a small fashion boutique in Lagos, has found success on the platform. “Before LBH Market, I was struggling to find customers online and was spending a lot of money on advertising,” says Bisi. “Now, I have a platform that does the marketing for me, and I can focus on what I do best – creating beautiful clothing for my customers.”

The platform’s focus on sustainability and social responsibility has also resonated with customers. LBH Market sources its products from small businesses that prioritize ethical and sustainable practices.
