LG Electronics Nigeria has entered into a strategic partnership with Ecobank Nigeria to expand access to smart home technology through affordable financing solutions.
The initiative, unveiled at the LG Smart TV AI press conference held at Ecobank’s headquarters in Victoria Island, Lagos, yesterday, aims to bring artificial intelligence (AI)-powered living closer to Nigerian households.
Speaking at the event, general manager, Media Entertainment Solutions, TV Division, LG Electronics, Mr. Choongbae Seok, said the partnership reflects LG’s commitment to integrating innovation into daily living.
“Our AI-powered products are designed to simplify living, enhance comfort, and create connected lifestyles for our customers. With AI at the heart of our innovation, LG continues to redefine what it means to live smart,” he said.
Also speaking, head, Distribution Channels/Sales, Ecobank Nigeria, Dr. Adeola Ogunyemi, said the partnership would make smart living accessible to more Nigerians.
“We believe technology should be accessible to everyone, not just a select few. Our partnership with LG is a powerful step toward democratising smart living by offering flexible payment plans that put premium AI-powered devices within reach,” Ogunyemi said.
She added that the initiative goes beyond product financing, describing it as an effort to empower Nigerians to embrace connected lifestyles without the financial burden of upfront costs.
At the event LG showcased its latest AI Smart TV lineup, which includes OLED, QNED, NanoCell, and UHD models powered by the company’s proprietary ThinQ AI platform. The company also demonstrated how its AI ecosystem extends beyond Smart TVs to include washing machines, refrigerators, and air conditioners, all designed to communicate and adapt to user behavior to promote efficiency, convenience, and sustainability.
