The principal of Junior Secondary School (JSS),Wuse Zone 3, Abuja, Olukemi Ojo, has called for gender equality amongst students to war against gender- based violence.

Disclosing this at the International Day of Mathematics Celebration, held at JSS Wuse Zone 3, organised by Real Life Mathematics, she noted that children, male and female, should be treated equally by parents, guardians and teachers.

According to her, awareness had been ongoing over the years, in the television, everywhere, even in schools, adding awareness should continue, so as to make the society a better place.

She stated that the male gender shouldn’t be allowed to bully just because ‘there is energy and more power’  as it helps to boost confidence in students.
