Matawalle Presents 2025 Defence Budget to National Assembly

The Honourable Minister of State for Defence, Bello Mohammed Matawalle, MON, on Tuesday presented the 2025 Budget Proposal for the Ministry of Defence to the Senate and House of Representatives Committees on Defence at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja.

According to a statement signed by his media aide, Ahmad Dan-Wudil, Matawalle was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Ambassador Gabriel Tanimu Aduda, and key directors from the Ministry.

During the presentation, Matawalle expressed his appreciation to the Chairmen of the Senate and House Committees on Defence, Senator Ahmed Lawal and Honourable Babajimi Benson, for their unwavering support for the Ministry.

He credited the Committees’ steadfast cooperation and dedication as vital to the Ministry’s achievements thus far.

The Minister also commended the Committees for their collaborative efforts in advancing national defence and security, emphasizing their critical role in strengthening the country’s defence capabilities.

The session concluded with assurances of continued partnership between the Ministry of Defence and the Committees to ensure the shared goal of safeguarding Nigeria’s security is achieved.
