NBTI urges Nigerians To Patronise Innovation Expo

Director-General of National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI), Dr Mohammed Jibrin, has urged Nigerians to patronise the innovative products that would be on display at the upcoming science expo in Abuja.

Jibrin made the call in a statement on Thursday in Abuja and signed by Reuben Shagu, Head of Media and Public Relations of the agency.

Jibrin said the NBTI’s stand at the science expo scheduled to take place from March 16 to March 20, shall be replete with array of products from NBTI entrepreneurs across the nation.

According to the statement, the expo which is an annual event hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology, is aimed at showcasing the numerous potentials in the country.

“The NBTI, as an agency of the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology is empowered by the federal government to nurture entrepreneurs whose businesses are technologically inclined.

“Our technology incubation centres have facilities to assist these entrepreneurs produce goods and services that can help industrialise the country,’’ the statement read.

The statement also stated that the forth coming expo would showcase what the entrepreneurs from the incubation centres across the nation had in stock.

“We want people to come and see for themselves what our entrepreneurs have produced and how they can invest their money in these enterprises.

“We are positive there shall be investors who will be happy to invest their money in these ventures, which is why the NBTI was created,’’ the statement said.

The D-G also assured Nigerians that the country was geared towards industrialization; that the forthcoming expo shall showcase valuable products worth investing in.
