The State House Banquet Hall, Abuja, will on Saturday host the launch of RenewHER, a Presidential Women’s Health Transformation Initiative expected to redefine the future of women’s health in Nigeria.
The landmark event, tagged RenewHER Gala and Awards Night, is organised under the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Women’s Health (OSSAP-WH) and championed by Dr. Adanna Steinacker.
RenewHER, an acronym for Health, Equity and Reform, is a data-driven, technology-enabled and financially intelligent strategy aimed at transforming Nigeria’s women’s health landscape. It is designed to serve as the central coordinating platform for mobilising government, private sector and civil society actors to co-invest in scalable, community-focused health solutions.

The exclusive gala will feature a Presidential keynote address, premiere of the RenewHER Campaign Film, cultural showcases, the Health Innovator Awards, and a symbolic National Pledge Moment.
Guests will also witness the unveiling of the Women’s Health Nigeria Digital Media and Communications Hub, a new advocacy and public health education platform, as well as the first edition of Women’s Health Nigeria Magazine. The magazine will spotlight innovations, amplify women’s voices, and complement national efforts across six key areas: maternal, newborn and child health; sexual and reproductive health; adolescent health and menstrual equity; nutrition and preventive care; healthcare workforce and access; and community coalition building.

Speaking ahead of the launch, Dr. Steinacker said the initiative was more than a programme but “a national call to action.”
“RenewHER is about redefining the future of women’s health and economic equity in Nigeria. With the Women’s Health Nigeria Hub and Magazine, we are building a movement that will transform policy, empower communities, and inspire the next generation of health champions,” she said.

The initiative enjoys the support of strategic partners, including the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), Nigeria Governors’ Spouses Forum (NGSF), Federal Ministry of Health (FMoH), the Maternal and Neonatal Mortality Reduction Innovation Initiative (MAMII), and the Women in Healthcare Network (WIHCN).
Through these partnerships, RenewHER is expected to drive measurable health outcomes while also creating economic opportunities for women, using behaviour-led financial reward systems, digital wallets, microgrants, skills training and support for women-led innovations in healthcare.
