In a strategic move to enhance efficiency and address challenges in National Identification Number (NIN) enrollment, the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has given the green light for the distribution of extra enrollment systems across all states in Nigeria.
Abisoye Odusote-Coker, the Director-General of NIMC, announced this development, marking a pivotal step toward streamlining operations and bolstering overall capacity.
The newly- deployed enrollment devices have already been set up and are operational throughout the various states, contributing to a noticeable reduction in the time applicants spend during NIN enrollment processes.
The commitment to operational excellence is underscored by the deployment of monitoring and evaluation teams to centers nationwide. These teams are tasked with ensuring the seamless execution of enrollment and modification procedures while rigorously adhering to NIMC’s stringent anti-extortion and ethical practice policies.
Coker-Odusote emphasized the administration’s unwavering stance against extortion, cautioning that any staff caught engaging in such practices will face disciplinary measures in accordance with constitutional provisions and established Public Service Rules.
The deployment of additional enrollment systems is a proactive response by NIMC to elevate service delivery and meet the growing demand for NIN registration across the nation.
