The managing director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Mohammed Bello-Koko, assured the oil, gas, and allied sectors of efficient vessel pilotage services. Speaking in Lagos at a forum organised by the Lagos Chambers of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Bello-Koko highlighted the NPA’s support for the oil industry through pilotage, towage, and mooring services.
The NPA has invested significantly in berthing facilities and equipment to support operations across various pilotage districts. Bello-Koko outlined interventions, including the acquisition of Bollard Pull Tugs, dredging campaigns, and addressing infrastructural challenges.
He emphasised the NPA’s commitment to efficiency and safety, noting ongoing efforts to address issues like collapsed breakwater moles and dredging to support vessel navigation.
