Former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, are among the high-profile speakers expected at a leadership conference in Abuja on Tuesday, organised by the Oxford Global Think Tank (OGTT).
Themed “Better Leadership for a Better Nigeria,” the event is positioned to drive strategic dialogue on ethical, inclusive, and performance-driven leadership as Nigeria marks its 65th Independence anniversary.
According to OGTT Conference Programme Manager, Williams Eze, the gathering at Transcorp Hilton will convene national leaders, policymakers, business executives and innovators to reflect on Nigeria’s leadership trajectory and identify pathways for renewal.
Confirmed participants include Abia State Governor Alex Otti, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Benjamin Kalu, investment executive Atedo Peterside, former Senate Presidents Bukola Saraki and Anyim Pius Anyim, former Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi, and Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment Doris Uzoka-Anite.
Discussions will centre on four thematic pillars: inclusive governance, business-led economic transformation, technology and entrepreneurship, and intergenerational transition.
The conference will also feature the release of OGTT’s maiden minerals report, RAMP Africa: Reforming African Minerals to Prosper Africa, and a presentation of OGTT Founder Arunma Oteh’s latest book, All Hands-on Deck. A curated leadership-themed art exhibition will complement the sessions.
Other business leaders, including Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, Abubakar Suleiman, Leo Ekeh and Gbenga Agboola, are also expected to attend.
