The Pan African Competitiveness Forum (PACF) has announced the appointment of Dr. Abubakar Tanko Bala as its new Secretary General.
Dr. Abubakar Tanko Bala is a business owner, a business consultant, and an entrepreneur. Presently, he is the National Treasurer for the National Association of Small-Scale Industries (NASSI).
Dr. Abubakar emerged as the Secretary General for the Pan African Competitiveness Forum (PACF) yesterday in Abuja.
According to a statement issued by the Media Spokesperson for the Office of the Secretary General of PACF, Nigerian Chapter, Fa’iza Shehu, PACF was created to harness and enhance the economies of African countries by implementing Cluster Initiatives that will stimulate healthy competition and growth among these countries.
The statement added that Alhaji Garba Ibrahim Gusau MNI, MFR, Chairman of PACF, and the National Treasurer, Alhaji Abdul-Fatah Shittu, bestowed the honor of appointing Dr. Abubakar Tanko Bala as the Secretary General of this esteemed forum.
“The ceremony was a successful one, full of hope and expectations, as Dr. Abubakar’s emergence as the Secretary General is a well-deserved appointment, owing to all his diligent contributions to the youth and society in general. People are looking forward to economic growth and sustainable development of the forum,” the statement read.
In his response after the election, the new Secretary General, Dr. Abubakar Tanko, explained, “In my capacity as the National Secretary of the forum, by the grace of God, we will try our best to resurrect technology among our youth so that we will have the opportunity to come up with new innovations and technology to put Nigeria and Africa above other nations. We will also come up with new ways of generating revenue. We will devise a means that will help Africans export their products to other countries. We will try our best to actualize this in our four years’ stay in office, Insha Allah. We will collaborate with all relevant stakeholders to ensure that our youth are employed or self-employed.”
