Cristiano Ronaldo is making history by representing Portugal for the 200th time in a Euro 2024 qualifier against Iceland.

Ronaldo is Portugal’s most capped player and record scorer with 122 goals

“I know that I hold some of the records (for the national team). I am the national team’s all-time top goal scorer. And I know that I hold a lot other records. But I say this honestly, I don’t chase records, they chase me. That’s why I’m very happy. And that’s where my motivation comes from to continue playing at the highest level for the national team.”

Ronaldo endured a difficult 2022 World Cup in Qatar, when Portugal crashed out in the quarterfinals.

He is expected to feature for the EURO 2024 qualifiers game under new head coach, Roberto Martinez.
