Sokoto state Commandant of Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Umar Musa Bala has assured that the state has complied with the Agro Ranger policy of the federal government.

“We have flagged off the agro rangers accordingly as directed by the Commandant General. That was immediately after the training of the agro rangers in our training academy at Katsina State sometimes last year. After that, what we did was to carry out sensitisation programme again across the 23 local government areas of the state. This was done under the direct supervision of the head of the department”.

The state Commandant, who assured that they have continued to manage situations relating to farmers/herders very promptly at the receipt of any signal, added that the Agro Rangers are distributed across the local governments with a central coordinating unit at the state level.
