Stakeholders across industries are set to converge at InnovateAI Lagos 2025 to explore how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can drive inclusive growth and address Nigeria’s economic challenges.
The conference themed: “Scaling AI Adoption in Nigeria: Catalysing Cross-Sectoral Innovation and Fostering Inclusive Growth,” will take place on February 21, 2025, at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos.
Organised by AI in Nigeria, a collective of visionary leaders and technology enthusiasts, the second edition of this flagship event builds on the successes of its 2024 inaugural edition, which drew over 4,000 participants and sparked innovation and collaboration nationwide.
Co-convener Dotun Adeoye, while speaking with journalists in Lagos, emphasised the conference’s growing impact, affirming that, last year’s event was a stepping stone.
Speaking on this year’s event Adeoye said, “This year, we aim to examine how AI can solve pressing issues such as unemployment, infrastructure gaps, and financial inclusion, while fostering sustainable development across key sectors of Nigeria’s economy.”
The 2025 edition is expected to attract over 6,000 participants, featuring both live attendance at the event venue and livestreaming to 12 AI-in-Nigeria Community Hubs established across the country’s six geopolitical zones. These hubs, launched over the past year, aim to democratize AI knowledge and accessibility nationwide.
Co-convener, Ehia Erhaboh, described the conference as a transformative platform for Nigeria’s future: “This is more than a conference; it’s a movement to position Nigeria as a leader in AI innovation and adoption. Our theme underscores the country’s vast potential to leverage AI for cross-sectoral growth and global competitiveness.”
A highlight of the conference will be a panel discussion on “AI and the Future of Work,” featuring top HR directors who will explore how AI is reshaping workplace dynamics, redefining skill requirements, and influencing recruitment trends across industries.
The event will also showcase corporate booths where skilled professionals can connect directly with employers seeking AI expertise. This initiative highlights Nigeria’s readiness to harness its human resources for global AI opportunities, bridging the gap between AI skill development and practical applications.

“Nigeria’s unique combination of human capital, natural resources, and budding infrastructure positions it to lead in AI development and adoption, offering solutions to some of the most pressing challenges facing the nation,” Erhaboh added.
