Senator Shuaibu Isa Lau has lost his younger sister, Hajiya Barakatu Isa Lau, to cancer.
Family sources report that Hajiya Barakatu Isa Lau, aged 57, passed away at the National Hospital in Abuja on Saturday night around 8pm.
She is survived by four children: two sons and two daughters.
The funeral prayer for the deceased will occur on Sunday at the Central Mosque in Abuja after the Zuhr prayer.
Senator Shuaibu Isa Lau is a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
