President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS), Dr Zacch Adedeji, on his birthday, commending his leadership and sweeping revenue reforms.
In a statement by Presidential Spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, the president praised Adedeji’s stewardship of the 83-year-old agency, citing innovation, automation, adoption of global best practices and staff capacity building as key drivers of improved revenue performance.
Tinubu noted that the NRS met its budget targets by the third quarter of 2025, a development he said strengthened economic stability and growth.
He also highlighted the deployment of the National Single Window, which reduced cargo clearance time from 21 days to one week, improving transparency and efficiency in import and export processes.
The president described Adedeji’s leadership as visionary and disciplined, crediting him with restructuring and aligning Nigeria’s revenue architecture.
Tinubu prayed for continued good health, wisdom and strength for the NRS chairman as he serves the nation.
