In a bid to touch the lives of vulnerable and elderly women in the FCT, Women in Business (WIB Fair) has distributed at least 200 food bags in Waru community in the nation’s capital of Abuja.

WIB Fair is a strong community of women in business in the FCT who came together to introduce the “Give Her” Initiative.

It was aimed at making impact in communities and not just making profits in business. “In WIB Fair, the Give Her initiative is a testament to our commitment to making impact in our communities and not just about making profit in our different lines of business. It is also a symbol of women’s dedication towards empowering people,” Ebiere Empere, the coordinator of WIB Fair and the CEO, Okads Seafood, told newsmen shortly after the distribution.

She said elderly women have not been adequately given attention, noting that the demonstration of compassion is in line with the objective of WIB Fair, which strongly believes that charity and business can run hand in hand.

She expressed gratitude to every member of WIB Fair for their demonstration of their kindness.

Each bag of food contains items worth N10,000. They included 1kg of rice, 1kg of beans, 1 kg of garri, sachet of groundnut oil, small sachets of maggi, spa, sachet of tomato paste and salt.

The recipients could not hide their joy as they danced in gratitude, thanking WIB Fair for remembering them through the outreach.
