The Association of Nigerian Young Farmers has expressed confidence that the Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC), under its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Alhaji Yazid Danfulani, will witness unprecedented achievements and contribute meaningfully to President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.

In a statement signed on Thursday by its Chairman, Ahmed Muhammad Ibrahim, the association described Danfulani’s appointment as a reflection of the government’s commitment to purposeful leadership, accountability, and national development.

The group said Danfulani’s background and vision had already begun to reposition the agency towards greater efficiency, innovation, and nationwide impact.

It noted that the NAIC boss, who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Arts and Management from the University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom, brought to the table a wealth of experience from both the public and private sectors.

A former Commissioner for Commerce and Industry in Zamfara State and an experienced technocrat at the Central Bank of Nigeria, Danfulani was described as “a square peg in a square hole.”

“Alhaji Yazid came fully prepared for the enormous task of steering the agency to greater heights. For him, this is not merely an appointment but a call to duty and national service,” Ibrahim said.

Under his leadership, the statement added, NAIC is expected to align its objectives with the Renewed Hope Agenda through transparency, teamwork, and measurable impact in Nigeria’s agricultural insurance sector.

Danfulani, also known as the Turakin Zamfara, is said to be redefining the agency’s operations by promoting innovation, efficiency, and a culture of accountability among staff and stakeholders.
