Zamfara APC Leaders Host State Defence Minister In Celebration of Achievements

Chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State, Hon. Tukur Danfulani Gusau and Hon. Sani Gwamna Mayanchi, hosted a dinner on Sunday in honor of the Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Matawalle, to celebrate his achievements during an official holiday visit to the state.

The event, held at Gusau’s residence, brought together APC supporters from across the region, who praised Dr. Matawalle for his exceptional contributions to combating insecurity and banditry.

In his remarks, Dr. Matawalle highlighted key initiatives under his leadership, including the revival of the Defence Industries Corporation (DICON) and efforts to modernize Nigeria’s security training through international partnerships, including a recent visit to the United States.

The Minister commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration for prioritizing security and infrastructure development in the North.

He lauded the ongoing construction of a dual carriageway linking Zaria, Zamfara, Sokoto, and Kebbi states, describing it as a transformative project for the region.

Dr. Matawalle also emphasized the President’s initiatives to boost Zamfara’s mining sector, noting the economic benefits for local communities. “These efforts reflect a commitment to improving the welfare of our people,” he said.

Hon. Gusau and Hon. Mayanchi expressed their gratitude to the Minister for his dedication to public service and assured him of the unwavering support of Zamfara’s APC supporters.

The event underscored Dr. Matawalle’s growing influence within the party and his impact on national security.

Meanwhile,attendees reaffirmed their commitment to his leadership as the nation prepares for the 2027 elections.
