Cross River State Government will host an international investment summit in London from November 17–19 to attract foreign capital and deepen diaspora participation in its economic growth plans.
The summit, themed “Unlocking Opportunities and Driving Sustainable Growth with the People’s First Agenda,” will showcase investment-ready projects across strategic sectors including agriculture, tourism, ICT, manufacturing, renewable energy, and infrastructure.
Ignatius Oli, Chairperson of the Central Planning Committee, said the event will position Cross River as a competitive investment destination in West Africa, mobilising domestic and international partnerships to support long-term development.
He added that the summit will facilitate business-to-business and business-to-government engagements, promoting PPP models and bankable ventures aligned with the state’s growth agenda.
Chairman of the Cross River Diaspora Commission, Prince Otu Okor, said the initiative strengthens the state’s global re-engagement drive by connecting its diaspora community to viable economic opportunities back home.
The programme will feature a keynote address by Governor Bassey Otu, panel discussions on priority sectors, and a dedicated diaspora session for investment and skills transfer.
The summit is expected to attract investors, business leaders, development partners, and senior government officials seeking to explore new opportunities in the state’s emerging sectors.
