The Federal Ministry of Health has debunked a viral video claiming Nigeria will distribute a “revolutionary” diabetes cure for free. The ministry said the footage was doctored, misusing clips of Minister Muhammad Ali Pate. It confirmed no such drug exists or has been announced.

“The public is urged to ignore fraudulent posts soliciting personal details, and to seek information only from verified government channels. Authorities, including NAFDAC and the police, are investigating the source of the misinformation,” it stated.
