Olajuyin Rejects Smear Campaign, Promises Inclusive Leadership

The campaign organisation of Engr. Olasunkanmi Olajuyin has dismissed recent publications against his political aspiration, describing them as deliberate attempts to discredit his person and mislead the public.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the campaign said the reports were politically motivated and designed to create division within the constituency.

The organisation maintained that Olajuyin remained committed to unity, sustainable development and true representation, insisting that his aspiration was built on competence, credibility and integrity.

According to the statement, the engineer and entrepreneur represents a new wave of leadership anchored on inclusion and service, rather than sentiment or political manipulation.

The campaign noted that efforts to portray him as weak or politically dependent were unfounded, stressing that such narratives stemmed from fear of his growing acceptance across different groups.

It stated that Olajuyin was neither a placeholder nor a political tool, but an independent-minded leader with a clear vision for the future.

The statement highlighted his background in engineering, entrepreneurship and public development as evidence of his capacity to deliver practical solutions and create opportunities for the people.

“At a time when our people deserve purposeful leadership, Engr. Olajuyin represents a refreshing alternative grounded in ideas, innovation and people-centred governance,” the statement read.

The campaign also criticised attempts to present political collaboration as betrayal, warning that such rhetoric only deepens divisions and slows progress.

It argued that leadership should focus on building bridges, strengthening alliances and ensuring that every community within the constituency benefits from inclusive governance.

The organisation urged constituents to reject what it described as divisive narratives aimed at sowing discord for political advantage.

It further called for mature conversations around infrastructure, education, youth empowerment and economic growth, rather than what it termed endless cycles of blame and hostility.

The statement added that Olajuyin’s mission was centred on collective advancement, not personal ambition.

It said his vision prioritised effective representation, expanded opportunities for young people and women, and responsive leadership for all communities.

Reaffirming his readiness to serve, the campaign declared that the future belongs to leaders who unite rather than those who divide.
