Energy technology company, Tango Brook Technologies Limited, has expanded its fuel and fleet management platform, Tango Fuel App, to five African countries, one year after its launch in Nigeria.
The company said the platform, launched in September 2025, now operates in Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Zimbabwe.
According to Tango Brook, the platform has attracted more than 150 corporate customers, including Flour Mills of Nigeria, Seven-Up Bottling Company, LAGRIDE, United Bank for Africa, CardinalStone and ICS Outsourcing.
The company disclosed this in a statement marking the first anniversary of the Tango Fuel App.
It said between January and August 2026, wallet funding on the platform increased 12.4 times, while revenue rose by 46.7 per cent.
App transactions and active transacting cards also increased 3.4 times each during the period.
Tango Brook said it obtained ISO 27001:2022 certification during the year, covering information security management and related governance standards.
The company has also expanded its product offering with the introduction of Tango Fleet Management and Tango GenVault.
Tango Fleet Management provides vehicle tracking, route optimisation and fleet monitoring services, while Tango GenVault monitors generator runtime, diesel consumption, refuelling activities and unusual fuel consumption patterns.
Chairman of Tango Brook Technologies, Peter Atuma, said the company developed the platform to address challenges associated with the management and monitoring of fuel expenditure by businesses.
According to him, organisations in emerging economies spend heavily on petrol and diesel to power vehicles, generators and other operations, while manual processes can create gaps in monitoring and accountability.
Managing Director, Africa, Tango Brook Technologies, Obiajulu Wemambu, said the company had established the infrastructure and partnerships required to expand beyond Nigeria.
He said the company would continue to expand its operations across African markets while adapting its technology to the energy, mobility and commercial conditions of individual countries.
Chief Executive Officer of Tango Brook Technologies Nigeria, David Ita, who assumed office in January 2026, said the company had focused on rebuilding its technology architecture and strengthening partnerships during its first year.
He said the company’s next phase would focus on using data and technology to improve visibility and control over energy consumption and operational assets.
Tango Brook said it would, in its second year, focus on expanding its data intelligence and predictive analytics capabilities, strengthening local teams and partnerships in its new markets, and developing features targeted at small and medium-sized enterprises and individuals.
