Unilever Nigeria has awarded scholarships to children of its employees as part of efforts to promote education and create opportunities for young Nigerians.
The company announced the development in a statement issued recently, reaffirming its commitment to supporting academic excellence and investing in the next generation.
Established over 30 years ago, the Unilever Nigeria Scholarship Scheme provides merit-based financial support to academically outstanding children of the company’s non-management employees.
The beneficiaries were selected through a competitive scholarship aptitude examination conducted by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) across the company’s manufacturing facilities in Agbara and Oregun.
The scholarship covers students from Junior Secondary School and is renewable through Senior Secondary School Year Three (SSS3), subject to satisfactory academic performance.
The initiative reflects Unilever Nigeria’s continued investment in education and its commitment to supporting employees’ families while encouraging academic achievement among young Nigerians.
