‘John Obuh Remains Nigeria’s Legend’

He is considered to be a icon in the football development of most players and on record he is one of the most traveled players from his playing days.

Teams he played for in the Nigerian league / national team include; Enyimba, Rangers, Udorji United, Sharks and Abiola babes.

Significantly , he has coached: Katsina United, Kano Pillars, Kwara Utd, Sharks FC, Enyimba International, Rangers International, Niger Tornadoes,  Heartland Fc, Kwara Utd, Wikki Tourist, FC Ifeanyiubah and Akwa Utd.

He also coached the national team: U-17 Golden Eaglets andU-20 Flying Eagles.

Presently , he is the technical director, AS Roma Football Academy Abuja.

He shaped the careers of these players from the grassroots who are now national team players: Kenneth Omeruo, Shehu Abdulahi, Ahmed Musa, Wilfred Ndidi and Moses Simon.

Others include Simi Nwankwo, Kayode Olarinwaju and Ramon Azeez.

His football philosophy is giving players the best advice believing their abilities should speak for them as a mark of hard work and determination.

He coached the Golden Eaglets U-17 World Cup 2009 and reached the final.

He also coached the Flying Eagles team U-20 that reached the finals in Columbia .

He is no doubt a football legend in Nigerian football.
